We cultivate specialty mushrooms here in Charlotte, North Carolina. You’ll find us face-to-face at local farmers markets and pop-ups, bringing fresh fungi and honest goods directly to our neighbors. Everything we make centers around a simple standard: good mushroom products shouldn’t cost a fortune or end up in a landfill.

Meet the founders
Meet the founders of Spore Addict. It started with two friends who shared a love of the natural world and got a rare chance, at exactly the right moment in our lives, to start growing mushrooms in Charlotte.
Amber Whitlow and Sonia Desai, a dynamic duo rooted in Charlotte, embody a shared passion for mushrooms. Driven by their collective expertise and fascination with mushrooms they have embarked on a mission to cultivate not just mushrooms, but a community of knowledge-sharing. Their goal is to make the Fungi Kingdom accessible to all by fostering a community where ideas and inspiration can be exchanged.
